Life

What's been up in my life? Well, the average life of a teenage waitress. The staying up late, and the getting up early. Speaking of getting up early, this morning I was supposed to have gotten up at 5:00 to be at work by 5:45. Evidently, I didn't hear my alarm go off, and thankfully my mom was awake and woke me up at twenty after 5. It gave me barely enough time to get ready and to get there, even though my eyes were almost swollen shut from being rudely awakened at the wee hours of the morn. :)

I bet some people wonder why I decided waitressing was my kind of thing. Well, just to clear that up for some people, I figured I would be good at it and would have a chance at sharing the gospel with people. Jesus blessed me with a job, so therefore I'm going to bless him by it.

In the restaurant that I wait tables for, they have a table for the regulars, and they have a table for the city guys. Many of the people who go there are regulars, and they know exactly what they're going to order. They don't even need a menu, because they've been there so many times. As far as the city guys are concerned, my first day on the job I had helped one of my co-workers with them, and the mayor looks at me and was like," This is the only table that you're allowed to be rude at." I'm pretty certain I would lose my job if I would be too rude lol :P

One of my favorite parts of the day are when this old grandpa comes in. All the other waitresses call him hamburger grandpa, because he always orders the hamburger basket with onions. Plus, he gets free coffee for being a veteran. One day I had decided that I was awfully tired of calling him hamburger grandpa, so I went up to him and awkwardly asked him what his name was. He had to repeat it several times for me to understand (You know my bad hearing and all lol ;P) I finally deciphered that his name was Ferrel, and I was so relieved to finally have figured it out. I mean come on after all the time that he's gone there no one has even asked him his name? :P He told me that if I forget his name just remember Pharoah in the bible cuz it sounds really similar. I just kinda stared at him blankly for a little bit, and then I quickly dashed an understanding smile at him, even though I completely had no idea what he was talking about at the moment. :) I saw him again today, and I went up to him and was said, "It's Ferrel right?" He smiles and responds, "Yup, and what's your name? I don't think I even asked last time." I just kinda laughed and said,"Well, everybody calls me Abby, but you can call me Abigail if you want." Then I went on to make a few more muttering comments about the name calling, and told him to have a good day. (Yus, I can literally make EVERY situation awkward.) It may not sound like an awkward moment, but it certainly was! :)

Being a waitress you certainly have many embarrassing situations that you're going to have to walk away from with a cool attitude. :P I think it's got to be a gift sometimes. Thursday morning when I was working, one of my coworkers had just gotten coffee cups from the place that they put them, and ten seconds later I could hear this loud CRASH! Everyone looks up, and I just stare at the ground. There on the floor is the biggest glass mess I've EVER seen. Like literally, It had to be atleast eight coffee cups scattered all over the floor! I felt so bad for the other waitress, but she kept her cool. Although she did get teased about it quite a lot by the regulars. :P

Sharpie pen

I've been experimenting with a sharpie pen. I've also been bored at school, so this helps keep me busy .

New sketch

Well this is the fourth drawing of a person that I've done... :) it took about two and a half hours but I enjoyed doing it! :) it really doesn't look like the picture much , but I guess there are similarities :P

Jogging

Having four older brothers is GREAT... most of the time, but they always want me to be the best. They want me to be able to do what they can do, but to be honest, I can't. I'm not near as strong as they are! :)

Today, Noah wanted me to go jogging with him, and I was like ,"Alright, I can do this." OK, our goal was around the block... exactly four miles. I haven't jogged in like two months, and it was only like half a mile that I would jog! I jogged about a mile straight, but I'm SOOOO out of shape. Noah was like come on , Abby, you're such a wussy... whenever I would stop to walk. He was just SOO encouraging... (rollingof the eyes) lol actually he wasn't too bad, AFTER he humbled me a lil bit. (I honestly think that's his life goal... to humble me :P) We DID make it home, eventually, but not before my legs felt like noodles. They still feel like noodles at this very moment. Don't worry, I WILL CONQUER THE BLOCK! :P Noah will see to it lol. He told me that I need motivation and to be pushed, so he was going to push me. I'm just like... SAVE ME! I know I wanted to get back in shape, but really? Gotta love the determination older brothers have for you... :)

P.S. lesson learned... NEVER EVER wear new shoes when you go to jog. ( I know that was REALLY stupid of me!) I have blisters on the bottom of my feet... I guess I had to learn the hard way... :P lol

Photoshoot -Andrew

One day My little brother, my sis, and I all went to one of my brother's house. Well, I wanted to take a photoshoot of Andrew, and since he doesn't really like pictures I got a few of him goofing off... :)

Inspiration

You may be wondering,"What's with the random picture of a sunflower?" well, this one picture sorta turned my whole world into a more colorful world. I took this picture about four years ago. I had been walking along our garden just as the sun was going down, and for some reason I had the camera with me. This one picture inspired me to do photography more, and later on it actually inspired me to take up my drawing again. So I owe alot to this silly little picture lol... :P
